    Surf Racks

Anyone know of a surfrack that has fingers that could be used in place of the factory ones on the e-series tower? Essentially just removing the factory fingers and bolting new ones to the factory swivel backing plate.

Someone did this not too long ago with only minor mod required. Cant remember, but try a search.

I got the Bullet Lines twin rack last year. It works ok. The rubber inserts are already coming apart and the bungee that comes with it is cheap, but it does fit the factory holes on my "Z" tower.
If I had to do it again, I would buy an Endless Wave rack from Ragboy.

I have the Bullet lines Single surf rack and I would agree that it just works ok. My issue about getting an endless wave rack is I am short and I dont want to have to struggle to get boards up and down.

I would like to have a Samson double surf rack and I think some sort of mounting plate adaptor would allow this to happen with the E-series just haven't put any work into it yet.

I did reach out to Scott at Samson for some help and never got a response.

I may be ignorant!! but what does Bump mean on this thread... are you re-opening the discussion? If so, I bought fingers with double surf rack for the driver's side of my boat from Scott at Samson... they custom drilled the holes so I could just screw in the fingers into my existing plate.

That is exactly what bump means. If you don't mind me asking, how much were the Sampson forks?

$250 plus shipping. It took a little while and a couple of tries to get the holes drilled right but they work great and keep the boards very secure. Also, I hear Scott at Samson can be hard to reach... I did not have a problem... I would just keep calling until he is available to pick up the phone. I would also ask if they have anything new for 2011... I bought mine in 2010. He assumed my screw size and width to drill holes and was wrong on both. I ended up sending him the screw size and I took off my wakeboard fingers and marked the existing hole widths on a piece of paper to be sure we got it right the second time... worked just fine once I gave him that info. I checked in on the custom order once a week to be sure progress was being made. I think it helped some as a single custom order is not high priority (understandably).
