Correct. I had the next gen Metcraft on my 03, it wasnt a great tower either.

I don't like the idea of spider cracks...

my 03 21ir had the "spider cracks" no issue. It's a great boat. He will never get that price. Mine had 10k of stereo upgrades and I struggled to get 22 from mine. and I only had just over 200 hours.

the economy right now is not a sellers market. It's a complete buyers market.

Yes, I forgot - he did the same. First thing he bragged about was all the stereo upgrades, after which I told him we absolutely do not care about the sound system. I literally cannot remember the last time the sound was turned on in our current boat. We're on the water to have fun and talk with friends and family, not to listen to tunes. I can do that anytime; water time is too precious.

I have that boat:2003 22V Rider's Edition with the MerCruiser 350MPI engine with about 400 hours. I also have the Metcraft tower. I had to have the wake board support plate / bracket rewelded when I first bought the boat in 07. The welds to the tower were cracking. Then I reinforced the bolting and added a backside bracket. Problem solved. Other than that, no significant maintenance issues. Fuel guage sensor was replaced and I added a depth guage that I could actually read. The original owner added a great sound system and the manditory cruise control.

We really like the boat. The kids are 30ish and drive across the state to ski with me. Mostly wakeboard but I still do a straight line barefoot run a few times a year...I just turned 60!

I'm heading out of town shortly, be back this weekend if you have any more questions that the rest of the guys can not answer.
