It is funny, but that just gives them a heads up to think of another reason. Because if they really do want to pull you over, they WILL find a reason!
    Waiting for another good one!

I took pictures and posted them to potentially help Dave S who started this thread by asking about pulling 2 trailers. I have no intention of pulling 2 trailers, it was more like a huh, I guess those things welded onto the trailer frame are used to tow 2 trailers.
I'm sorry, I even read your previous post that you were only showing the OP and you don't intended to two doubles. I would prefer the boat to be behind the trailer though in my case.

No problem, this is a very non-standard topic and I probably didn't describe it very well on my first post. What do you mean you would prefer the boat behind the trailer? Do you mean if you were to tow a camper trailer and boat trailer you would have the boat at the end? Why? I'm just curious about the subject.

For me, I would put the boat in back because the RV is heavier at 8500lb. But I think the OP said he was going to haul a teardrop trailer, so I would put that in the back. Better yet, I would just find a cabover camper for the truck and not have to deal with doubles at all. I just might look for a cabover myself for the times I do want to camp with the boat...

Here is my recommendation for a multiple trailer tower!

IMO, probably because it's easier to launch the boat if its at the end instead of the middle .

Ewok, thanks for posting the trailer pics. This is exactly what I was looking for as far as ading a hitch to the rear of my boat trailer. The tear drop trailer weighs in at less then 1,000 pounds with correct options or lack thereof. I would hook the tear drop to the rear of the boat since the tear drop is lighter in weight.

                    evil one,

I looked at the Lance Slide-in, but I thought they were crazy expensive, starting at around 12-16g and going up to 40g. I can get a tear drop for less the 5g and tow it behind the car when not boating.

No problem. What make of trailer did your boat come with? If it is a Road Runner it might have those parts welded onto the frame like mine. The rest of the rig will have to be made like 5flat said above.

Naw no double hauling needed, Just make that Triple Axle trailer back there a lil bit longer and put the boat and the truck in there.

I have seen those in action but I'm not sure it would work with an inboard boat with a tower. I see these all the time behind RVs with a bass boat up top and a small car or Ranger size pickup below. The bass boats have a very low freeboard and don't sit much higher than the trailer, so it clears overpasses easily. I was also told by the dealer not to tow my boat with the alpha z folded so my boat would sit pretty high on that trailer.

BL: just make sure you take LOTS of measurements before you spend any money on one of those to make sure it fits your needs.

I was actually being kind of sarcastic with that last post. I wouldn't want to raise my boat in the air like that and have a camper below it. I could see how it would work with a bass boat or jon boat though.
