    I must be missing something, how do you get the boat up there? Just get lucky to find the steepest ramp in the country? Does the upper section lower?

      It looks like the upper section will lower down to get the boat off.

        Yup, the upper section is lowered to get the boat off. I have seen these configured for boats on top and for 2 cars, 1 upper and lower. The problem is that even when you lower it the boat still sits higher off the pavement so you do need a steeper ramp or an RV or truck that you don't mind dipping the rear axle in the water. It works pretty well for smaller bass boats or john boats but I have never seen them with pleasure boats.
