    2007 RZ2 Floor board

Does anybody know how to remove the floorboard without breaking it...

I need to have acces under the driver'chair because 2 bolts are not holding the chair in the floor anymore.

    Thank you for your help!

My boat is located in Lac Simon, Québec, Canada.

The only piece of the floor that is removable is the center piece but it will not give you access to the drivers seat. IMPO any repair to you seat base will have to be done from up top. do you have a pic of your issue so maybe we casn come up with some ideas to help you get it fixed.

      Picture of base of seat

Here is a picture of 1 of the 2 screws/bolts that do not hold anymore in the floor. I tried to tighten them with a screwdriver but there is no grip in the floor. The other 4 screws/bolts are fine.

      Any ideas?

And..are they screws in the floor or bolts?

      Thank you in advance!

Back it all the way out and look at the tip...then you willknow if it is a screw or a bolt.

It looks like bolt to me. Take it out and look in hole see if you can see threads. I cant say I have taken one of these seats up so I dont really know for sure if it has threads or if was ment to have screws and some one made a mistake when it was built. I assume this is the stock seat base. Two choices in fixing it from what I see.
1.go down and dirty with it..remove the one thats in there get a corse stainless screw with a diameter a little larger than the one you took out and let it eat..screw that thing down.
2.remove all the screws so you can remove base and try to come up with an idea of what is going on under there and what went wrong. And what you might need to fix it.
If it were mine and it was just one comming loose and seat was sturdy I would just go with option #1
since there is two comming loose it concerns me so I am kind of on the fence at this point. I think I might try and take it up but if it gave me any trouble I would go with the larger screw option.

Why not just helicoil it or go to a larger size screw, drill it out and re-tap it to the new screw?

Heli coil and re-tap would be for a bolt not a screw. I am thinking there is some sort of a nut sert that has broke loose but I dont know for sure.
