I bought a Hyperlite Broadcast 5'6" and it actually fits in the Tige stock wakeboard racks on the Alpha Z tower. I was pleasantly surprised about this.
Guess I should have posted this before. Being new to surfing this year (with the new boat), we bought the Broadcast 5'6" and just expected it to fit. I'm assuming other surfboards are too thick to fit in the Alpha Z stock racks?
Its a fun board - however we have nothing to compare it to....yet.

When you get a new board you will realize how not "fun" it was. It's a great board for learning, and it is easy to ride. It just doesn't perform well compared to a non-beginner board. (an apples to oranges comparison, I know)

No, they don't, and that's why there are so many surf/wake racks on the market.
I still carry my old Landlock 5'6" every time out. Great "boat" board. If you need to fit a new board into your racks, you need to be looking for a skim style board. Surf style boards need a custom rack.

That's where I put mine.
so yes I already knew that.
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein
I figured I out to send the shout out, because every other board I've used is a smidge too thick to fit in there. I figured it might be of interest for anyone who is about to buy and entry level board or boat board. If you are just learning or getting into it, you can buy this one and not have to change racks. They can be expensive if you are buying them to put on the Alpha Z.
At least you guys with the Alpha Z's have options to have surf racks. Us E-series owners are limited to where we can put racks due to the uprights. I have only found one brand of surf rack that has the same oval plate bolt spacing which is the bulletlines racks.
My IS 4-skim will fit in my factory racks if you trim the rubber nubs off the ends of the fingers, but my Walker board is too thick and I dont want it in a rack anyway, its too fragile.
