I would say this is highly unlikely - the Tige Touch module is made by Medallion and seems to be all proprietary. The good news is, it could be possible to replace its controller someday with a much better, open standards device (maybe powered by Android).

Tige Touch is great, we love it! - but when you start comparing it to other consumer touch screen products, its got a ways to go. Seems odd that my $200 cell phone that sits next to my TigeTouch, streams music from the internet, has a gps, current weather info, and streams wake boarding how to videos from youtube, yet my touchscreen in the boat barely shows the album titles from an attached ipod.

All these new systems should allow some sort of firmware updates just like you iPod computer etc. Should be as easy as having a USB port that has an extractable file that updates the firmware on the unit. If the timer is controlled by the cpu you should be able to set them as long or little as you like. Just a thought. Glad your enjoying the Ve.

Anything new and noteworthy on the 2011's when compared to the 2010's? Just curious...

Last year they treated all of the new features like a state secret until they actually released them in the fall. I was sitting in there last year in the late summer and debating between the new one and the '09 and had to wait until the innovations were released. Perhaps all of the secrecy was because of Tige Touch. However, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the way goes again this year.

I'm thinking not as many significant innovations this year, but what about the rumored 20ft pickle fork. Could there be a new model this year (me stirring the pot)?

Yes that can be done. I have flashed a few with updates.IMPO I THINK tige is trying to keep the coast gaurd happy by only allowing so much extra weight added by a factory option. Lets be honest when you start talking custom sacs and alot people your over the legal capacity on that boat for sure.

Flash and KKO just two things that should not be in the same sentence.

Funny, but KKO is on my good side since he sold me his IS Blue Lake last week

The 2011 RZ2s are pretty much the same. Some new color options are available, but new design of a 20' boat is going to be the new secret.
                          GO BIG!!

So i haven't even got the boat yet and I already want to get aftermarket custom sac. What is the cost on the bags and what would fit best in the boat, and should i have one for each side since i have goofy riders?

Send a PM (private message) to your NC neighbor chpthril - he is a Fat Sac dealer and will get you a good price. Plus, he should be able to help steer you toward the best fit.
