    07 Escalade ESV, Towing

I just picked up a used 07 Escalade ESV with the 6.2 403HP 417lb.ft torque.
Anyone else on the forum have a 07 or new and how do you like? Does it pull well? I pulled our boat once with it since getting and and only went 10 miles. Seams to run and pull fine. Just wondering what everyone else thinks.

I have a 2009 Avalanche with the 6.0L and 6-speed, automatic suspension (rear airbags), same frame, but slightly differt body...i.e almost the same vehicle as yours.

It pulled my 22Ve very well for 600 miles last weekend over mountain passes. The tow/haul mode controls the tranny nicely. On flat terrian, when adhering to the speed limit, it towed like it wasn't even there. Milage was 11mpg.

Thanks for the info. I also have the 6 seed tranny.
Yeah my old Denali got right about 11 mpg also. I am hoping the Escalade will do a little better since it won't have to work so hard? We shall see I guess.

The 4.7 V8 in my 4Runner got 12mpg towing the RZ2 400 miles last week through the hill country of TX, I always thought the bigger trucks would get better mpg since the engine isn't working so hard.

My 07 escalade handles my 22v much easier than our yukon xl with the 5.3l, but in Pittsburgh with the hills i average 6MPG(Always when towing)
