OK, I just went back to the map to view all the pins and I discovered that I am the only one in VA, that can't be I know there has to be more.

For a picture, either as the marker or contained in your info section, you need to use a picture's URL. You cannot upload as an attachment. And in your info section, you need to paste the pic's URL into the Rich Text Format entry area or the HTML entry area.
