    Need your prayers!!

    Hello,

I have been a member of Tigeownersthis for a while but have not posted very much. I have seen first hand how the members here rally around each other. I would like to request your help now.

My 16yr old son Christopher, was involved in a bad car accident Friday evening July 2nd. While we don’t know the exact details of what happened, other than it was raining and the roads slick, the end result was that his truck hit a tree on the driver’s side and he was trapped in the vehicle. It took the fire department 40min to remove him from the vehicle and he was immediately taken to Memorial Herman hospital in The Woodlands. Exam, x-rays and CT scans showed no injuries to his head, neck, spine, arms, torso or internal organs. Unfortunately, his left leg was not so lucky. He broke both is femur and tibia but the most damage was to the soft tissue of his lower leg.

He underwent emergency surgery Friday night/Saturday morning to fix the broken bones by inserting metal rods and pins. While the surgery to repair the broken bones was successful, there was concern due to limited blood flow to his left foot. He was immediately transferred to a trauma vascular surgeon in downtown Houston. After review of the situation and some small procedures, the blood flow was restored and the foot saved. Once he was stabilized he was moved back to the Woodlands where he now resides and is recovering. He has been on morphine due to the pain and multiple other drugs to help him with the trauma of the accident. He is doing well, all things considered, but there is still a lot of concern about his lower leg due to the amount of damage.

I would like to request that you keep Christopher in your prayers as he is still in a lot of pain and has a great deal of recovery to go. As I mentioned before, there is still a lot of concern about his lower leg and whether or not it will be able to heal.

Our entire family appreciates your prayers. He really needs them right now.

    Thanks!

    -Ken
