Biggest event of the year on the water in Pittsburgh is the weekend of July 4th. We have the formula one regatta, some type of fishing competition(last year was the walmart Fla) and a great fireworks display launched from barges on the 3 rivers. Always ends up being a tow-fest since 50% of the people that boat never maintain thier boats and end up getting towed to the launch area which further complicates issues. This year i got to tow a guy that couldnt get his boat started on the trailer but decided to just drift from the launch until he could get it started. Great stategy

Priceless…
Last week I was just sitting, doing some star gazing, and two house boats, that were tied together, were bearing down on me. Only one had power. From the time I saw them until we passed each other was a good 2 minutes. It was still me that had to start up and get out of their way. They were tied side by side doing 10-15 mph. no horn action no lights except living room lights. -
This is the reason I try to stay off my boat on holiday weekends
...I did make it out Saturday early, but was out of the water by noon.
