    Ewoks New RZ2

I finally got it home today, my "new" 2009 RZ2. I didn't have time at the dealer to figure out how to set up the Bimini so here is my shot at it. But first, a pic of the boat:

First question is, did I set up the bimini correctly? the rear bar seems to drop down at the sides as if the two posts that slide into the back of the tower are out of adjustment.

Second question, as I was fiddling with the bimini, I tried turning on the stereo and found that none of the accesories were working. i made sure the battery was turned on, if has factory dual batteries but none of the lights, radio, blower are working. I checked the battery cables and the CB panel under the dash. If I turn the key to the left or just one click to the right (not starting the engine) the info screen pops up and tells me the temp and all the other info, but the accessories still don't work. I had the boat on the water at the dealers test lake yesterday and everything worked fine, what am I not doing? I'll keep reading the owners manual tonight but I read through it last night and didn't see anything describing my situation.

    Thanks in advance

Congrats and welcome I don't think I have seen that color combo before. Very nice!

      Slick color combo!

Regarding the bimini - I think you have the right idea. I'm pretty sure the sides of the back of our bimini dip down similar to that (although we always have the extension on). Guess I assumed that is normal - for one thing, it helps to keep the ends of the rear bar less likely to get snagged by the rope coming off the tower.

I do think that the front of your bimini is a little high, though. That will want to catch a lot of air under the fabric. I would suggest lowering the front edge by shortening the two little support struts that come off the front edge of the tower. Yours should have multiple position settings that can adjusted.

      Thanks for posting pics!

Did you turn your battery switch to both or just #1?

Factory EIDB only has ON/OFF positions.

My switch has only on/off. When turn key to "on" position, batt voltage reads 12.3 on the screen but I guess that is only the starting battery, not the house. I'll get a voltage meter and check the battery in the morning but I don't see how the battery could have discharged, all the switches/accessories were off. The batt switch was on but everything else was off.

If I leave my switch anywhere but off I have a dead house battery in a couple of days

Thanks for alll the replies so quickly, It has been 28 hrs since it was in the water in ft worth, I would be disappointed if that's all it is, just a dead battery. I was hoping there was a magic button somewhere to push. What drains the house like this?

If the house is dead I should prob hook it up to a charger or could I run the boat on the lake to charge it, I need to get through the 5 hr break-in period so I can take friends out this weekend. I've got 1.1 hrs on it right now.

Hook it to a charger. If it is completely dead the alternator will never charge it. Invest in an on board charger, they are worth it. They will save your batteries.
