I learned to drive in a big, huge, wide cirle to tow a surfer on my old boat, it didn't produce a nice clean wave without doing it. I get a much better wake now in a straight line with the RZ. We only did the circle thing in a big cove in the lake VERY far, far away from the main wakeboarding runs. Some of my friends would sit and watch us in their boats and said they were amazed that the outside wave that was generated disipated very quickly and the inner wave must have had descructive frequencies among itself because we never hit it, it was always disipated when we came around again.

Your board actually rise pretty far before you go screaming down the wake and back toward the boat.
I know with a fast board you could easily catch uo to hop on the teak, but i wouldnt ride on or off the teak with my new board lol.Joey - Red 20V Riders Edition

I think i saw Shaun Murray that had a long board and paddled in on the second roller. I prefer to do platform starts. Its a lot easier to carry my son of 3 yrs with me on the board (LF fish 5'3") when starting from the platform. The true test of skill is to come in to reach for a beer and chug it while on the board and no rope ever.GO BIG!!
