Poor guy, you said bigger is better, he assumed you meant TALL. ;-) You know what they say, big feet.....

    Large shoes.

Anyway, I got the 409 because the boats Tige sent us for review and the contest had the 409. I really don't know how the 343 runs compared to this, I am assuming well. The combination we had could plane with competition weighting with taps down with NO problem, just took off, and I never heard or felt any cavitation. Whether that is the case with the 343, I don't know.

I have the 340 in my 24Ve, a bigger boat, and I had to go to the 1235 prop when I started loading it up, but it also will plane fully weighted with TAPS down.

On the bimini color question, I imagine the Bimini will be Navy, but like I said, I am in Danny's hands.

Hah! 7:30 onward is a riot.

Agreed Tower of Power is an amazing setup. Anyone reading this and thinking of the ToP might consider two Pro 60/80 and two MB8. The WS MB8 is as big as the Pro80 enclosure but is not a horn--it provides a lot of mid range and warmth but will not throw like a horn. Nonetheless, with the other pair of Pro60/80 on th tower, I think there is plenty of throw.

LOL, yeah, maybe the photog should grab one of those drill motors and give a hand. ;-)

Can't believe it, this is better than crack. (not that I would know ;-) )

TAPS is in, check out the PAIR of underwated LED lights, my 24Ve only had one.

Looks like its got some attitude.

OK, now these next 2 pictures... I mean my 2 favorites things on the water is the great surf wake, and a clear, thumpin' stereo...

              ^^
Regular (i.e., non-sub) speaker in the driver footwell looks new for 2010. Good placement -- I have often thought the driver needed a dedicated speaker. When driving, I usually cannot hear the (ToP) stereo as well as others because I am not down in the cabin, up in the bow, or behind the tower (all of which have great coverage).

If I had an open channel, I would pop a speaker up near me on our 09 RZ2.

Yes, that Red RZ2 we had had this setup, it was very nice for me as the driver, not to mention the thumping.

They still go with the pansy pylon it looks like. You are not supposed to pull tubers from the tower or the pylon, and the lifting rings are under water. I guess Tige owners are still supposed to pull from the pylon, since rupturing the fiberglass is a rare occurrence (although not unheard of).

                      What is a V-drive boom?

A boom that clamps on the pylon and curves forward instead of aft. Specifically made for V drive boats.

Pylon? What's that? I do not see one on our 09 RZ2

I tow a tube from the tower. That AZ tower is a rock and integrated into the boat not just bolted to the deck. Our dealer and a Tige rep said pulling a tube off the tower was fine.

Explain what you mean by integrated. I do not see one on Ragboy's yet. I suspect they will be bolting it on later.

I worry about pulling my 5 man water weenie from the tower...but if I get the OK from the Tige rep, I could bring it to them if I get stress cracks around the tower mounts.

                              From the Tige website:
"While other towers are attached directly to the deck, the unique Alpha Z mounting design is engineered to transfer the tower load to the main structure of the boat. This results in a more rigid foundation and accounts for the Alpha Z’s outstanding stability and unyielding strength."
                              http://tige.com/performance/Alpha_Z_Tower

There is an image at the above link that depicts what looks to be below deck mounting points.

There was another thread where we all discussed how the tower might be mounted early last year but I cannot seem to find it.

Perhaps we will all be lucky enough to see just how the tower is linked to the main structure of the boat in some subsequent pics of Ragboy's RZ2? Here's hoping

                                Time will tell.
