Ragboy,
It sure is sharp looking. Tige is really improving how the RZs2 look. Gotta love the interior. It looks classy but it does have a lot of seams for I would assume appearance value Cool thing is that it has been rated in the Top 10 in it's class
One thing I can't tell is did they add grab rails for passengers or a recess in the gunwale sides to store small items and speaker etc.
I am sure you can't wait to get her home.
Enjoy
Money,
Both wishes are granted. There are side cutouts that each have two cup holders in them and enough room for small items (like my mooring ropes) Also, there are grab handles on each side in the lounge as well as two very long ones going down each side of the bow. I'm telling you, it is a very functional boat. Many people talk about getting surplus or slightly used boats, but the benefit to these new ones is that they more and more user Friendly.
It's not even my boat and I am getting excited! It looks like the shrink wrap is on the platform getting ready to go on. I hope they don't just put that tower on, not take a picture and leave it for a surprise when you get it.
I still don't get why no visonair seat? I thought that was a standard item on an RZ? I don't even think I have ever seen an RZ without one!
Looking good Ragboy I bet you and the Family can't wait
I didn't specify, I like the seat we have. I will tell you this, the seat we have now, like the one in the RZ2 is VERY sturdy, and I am a big dude. It also goes back farther, but that may not have anything to do with the seat.
Danny and Ben have both been in the boat with me, maybe they were just looking after me, don't know. I will tell you this, I want the boat BAD, and won't do anything to hold it up, well at least not for a visionair seat.
I hear ya! I bet it is super hard to be patient when you are getting new pictures every day. I'm sure the best picture will be seeing it on the trailer on the way out of the factory.
I always use the bolster on our seat. And at the end of a day of towing, my a$$ always hurts from the thin padding on the bolster and the continual lean. I usually use an extra neoprene vest folded over and wadded in the corner of the seat but it is just not good enough.
So, I would buy (in a heart beat) a molded foam piece that fit over the bolster bar and was sloped so as to provide level seating under surf ballast. You could simply turn the molded piece around depending on which side you were surfing.
Depending on various factors (length and width of bolster bar, distance to the seat back, and curvature of the seat back), one could probably come up with a design that fits several seats.
If anyone knows of an existing product, pleasepleaseplease let me know.
It's looking Great! So close....I bet the tower is being powder-coated. It should not need the FAE with the CAT exhaust, unless for cutting down on some noise.
They make fae for the PCM's. I have one. A dummy port is put on the other side. I asked Larry about doing it with only the one side and he said he's done it before but doesn't recommend it. FWIW.
Looks like it goes closer to the edge and does not have the fiberglass strip down the middle. I'd love that. More than once I've had people slip on the fiberglass on the swimstep of my '05 24V.
