rust stains on paint

does any one know of a good product to rub off rust stains on the boats gel coat?

A compound product or Gel coat restorer. As to which brand - that is up to you really.

Pick up some Zapp Fiberglass Hull Cleaner.,this stuff is basically hydrocloric acid. Mix it 50/50 with water and it will take about any stain off. Then just wax it for protectant and it will look new again. You definately have to be careful with this stuff though, use goggles, scrub brush, rubber gloves,and rinse it off good, it is pretty wicked stuff.
