After running the boat and then parking it for awhile. I start the boat and the boat will stutter for a few minutes. Can someone explain to me what is causing this? It seems to be getting worse also. Today I was out and after sitting for about an hour and started it the boat actually died after stuttering for about 2 mins. The boat had 32 hours on it when I bought it and now has about 64 hours on it. I am speculating that the fuel is getting hot but I could be wrong. I am going to change the fuel filter and see if that helps. If anyone else has any other ideas what could be causing this please let me know.

Thats what I had to do after it died, cause it would not stay running until it cooled for a bit. Is there anything that I could do to prevent the motor from vapor locking? Another thing that happen after I did get the motor running is I had a message in my lcd window staying ecu error unable to read after 25 seconds or something like that. I had no indication of anything when that error came up including my fuel level. I shut the engine off and then restarted it and everything was fine then.

For all the the vapor lock issues possibly try to wrap some of this thermo-shield tape around the fuel rail and lines on the top of the engine. Should help a bit.

If not, try to find a gas station that doesnt use an ethanol blend. Which can be equally as effective.Bad decisions make good stories.
