    Going Camping @ Bullards Bar

Till Sunday! Pics up soon! I love that lake

And that lake is full full full... Unlike last year where is was 70 feet below the maximum level.

BTW, that is one very, very nice lake...

I still need to check that lake out. They actually emailed me about trying an event there.

Union Valley myself...as long as the bears stay away!
I'd rather be a conservative nut job than a liberal with no nuts and no job.

We've been kicking around the idea of going there this year. I hear good things about it. What do I need to know?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

haha, my friend was up there on Sunday through Wednesday at Wolf Creek and they had a bear two of the three nights.

Then they saw someone hit the unmarked rocks just west of the yellow jacket launch ramp and had to town them back to the dock.

However, when we were up there from Thursday to Sunday last week, there were no issues besides the bear chit that was left behind from the bear that went though the camp site on Wednesday night.

Not sure where they wanted to hold it but I don't think it's as good as Camp Far West in May for you.

Another site to visit would be Englebright. The water there is turquoise blue. Just beautiful water but it's cold.

We may have to switch to Wolf since they have bear lockers. We have been camping at fashoda for the last 4 years and only had a problem last year. 2 nights in a row a bear was ripping apart the guy next to us' soft side coolers in the middle of the night. Do you guys like it over there, is it quiet? We tend to go back to Fashoda because it has the beached off area for the kids, but we maybe ready for a change in scenery.

I like the group sites at wolf creek. The boats are protected from the wind and don't move at all when the wind picks up there.

The bear lockers are nice also and we haven't had any issues.

If the kids want to play on the beach, we get into the boat and go over to the jumping rock and throw another anchor out there. It's a nice area and fun to watch the kids jumping off that big rock.

How was the camping? What site did you stay at? School house or Dark Day? Was there much shore line swimming for the kids? We're heading out next week. Any bears?
