A way around Taps throttle possibly....

so I know there's been some of you on here expressing concern and wanting a different throttle. But the limiting factor has always been the Taps button on the throttle assembly. Well possibly no more.

Now be it, this is probably a very expensive option, but I see no reason it's not a viable solution.

Scroll down to the "Trim in wheel", which is second from the bottom. You wire in a radio reciever into our bennet trim tab, and mount it in the back. Yes there seems to be an application for the Bennet Tabs. Then mount this steering wheel and a new bling bling throttle, and voila!!!! What you guys think?

Really nothing at all.... Just some of us have wanted a bit more bling.

But since you asked... for instance, my throttle knob has faded out, despite the boat staying covered. I don't think you can replace just the knob can you?

If I really wanted a different throttle assy I would just mount the taps switch on the dash.

Much cheaper and less problems than a steering mounted switch.

Taps was originally mounted with a switch on the dash until they came up with the switch in the throttle around 1997?

I like the throttle handle set up with the TAPS button in the knob. I think it I agree there is some slight fading on the knob after some use, but I can't really see that when my hand is covering it up
