    What prop do I have??

I could have posted this somewhere else but I thought I would get more answers here. I am looking to upgrade my prop because I was slipping a little bit with my new ballast. I was hoping someone here knew 1) if I have a 1:1 tranny 2) What prop came on my boat from manufacturer?

I have a 2001 Tige 20i with 350 mercruiser MAG MPI... I looked at what was stamped on my prop and only understood that it was 1 1/8" shaft and then one of its dimensions was 13'' other than that it looks like straight serial numbers...

Is this an acme prop? If so, there will either be a 3 or 4 digit number stamped on the hub.

One more number and you would have it! It should have 13 x ?. If you could make out the pitch, then we could help with an upgrade.

I had a 2001 21i with the 315 hp Merc. It came from Tige with a 13x13 4 blade stainless prop. My dealer could have upgraded to the stainless, but I'm sure that was the standard size.

Tige was using Cutter stainless props in 2001 on our Tige's,Tige switched to OJ's and then to Acme. You can call Acme and they can recommend a prop.

yeah I already talked to Acme but they said make sure you got a 13in prop and that I do have a 1 to 1 tranny... I am pretty sure my boat has the 1 to 1 tranny right???

Right now he suggested I go with the 653...

You should have a information tag on top of your tranny/drive which will tell you the gear ratio

Your direct drive 20i will be a 1:1 ratio.

You should have a OJ 13x13 and trany should be 1:1 if it is a velvet drive. Look on the tag like suggested it is right on top.

I just got a 653 for my boat, you rpm's will go up a bit but it gives you more hole shot but about 3 mph top end less.

I could care less about top end... more concerned about fuel consumption and getting consistent speed with no cavitation

yes I have velvet drive... all i know on the prop is its 4 blade and had 13 stamped on it... then a bunch of other numbers that just looked like serial numbers... I will look at it again to make sure.

Your fuel consumption will change but not to bad. Here is the link to my question on fuel consumption.
