    Bow Stop Placement

I have a 2008 24Ve I just purchased new. My question is, should the bow ring be just touching the roller on the traler, or should the bow ring be snug underneath touching the roller? My dealer says the bowstop should not be moved. Right now it is just touching the roller and not under it. Any comments would help.

Pictures if you can but it sounds about right. I'm planing on replacing the standard bot stop with the Boat Buddy 2.

I push that ring up to the roller as tight as I can get it and then winch it down. If it's loose, your boat can bounce around on the trailer.
