    Tige rz4 vs. Malibu lsv

I'm getting ready to buy a boat and I can't decide between the tie or the malice. The rz4 has the stock ballast at 900 Lbs. I surf a lot and am afraid that I may need more for a good surf wake. What are your opinions on the boats and is any of you use the stock ballast let me know how it is. Thanks.

They all need added ballast for a good surf wake...........except the 2010 Tige with the Surf or Pro Ballast option upgrade. IMO, the Bu's are HARD to weight for a good surf wake. Sea trial each one as you would use it if you owned it.

The tige is actually out of state so I can't test it. I have driven an rz2. How about rough water. I am on a big lake and it can get pretty nasty.

If you are looking to purchase a 24 footer and primarily surf you should look at the Centurion Enzo 240. you'll be hard pressed to find a boat that will out perform that wake. The boat below is a 2010 240.

Enzo is known for its surf wake. But, from what I've heard, it is difficult to get a great wake on both sides. Not impossible, just difficult.

HA HA HA QE2 That's good stuff.

I agree the Centurion is known for its surf wake, but IMO it is no where near the quality of a RZ4 or 247LSV. They are an entirely different caliber of boat, the overall quality and performance of the Tige and BU are second to none.

Also the 2010 RZ Surf Wake is Nasty I have experienced it myself. 2000lbs pro ballast does a very very good job of surf and wakeboard wake. It is a growing name in the surf world check the forums there is lots of talk going on about the RZ surf wake.

                    Just my

                      WOW!!! REALLY???

I never knew adding 500# in the rear locker on top of the stock was "HARD". And my 500# are tapped into the stock system.

That wake is awesome, I get close to that with my Ve, but it isn't that clean and long. Wish I was surfing that wake. I like that Enzo by Centurion. It is a awesome boat. Someone had commented that the quality was in a lower leauge, not so sure about that, I've ridden on one and looked at them extensively, it is a very nice boat, a nice step up from some of their other models.

Anyway, as far as your question between the two boats, both of them will require you to add ballast for a good surf wake.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

No offence, but you acted as if I slammed yur beloved Bu, sorry, that wasnt the case at all. But hey, if you are happy with the wake from your boat, that's all that counts.

Getting hot chicks to go for a ride on the boat is easy, doesnt mean I will benefit from it

Of course this is a Tige owners forum, so we might be a bit biased but you should read the posts by Ragboy with his "review" of the RZ2 and it's surf wake. He's in the process of selling his 24Ve and going to a RZ2...

If I were in the market for a new boat, I like you would be looking at the Tige RZ series or the Malibu LSV...
