Not sure the lakes you boat on but I would recommend the 22 foot. I went from a 20V to a 24V because we got tossed around on windy days on Havasu and Mead. I loved my 20V though.
    Let it be!!!

Get the 22' then. The 22's handle rough stuff very, very well and the 24's even better! We went from a 19' Rinker to the RZ2 and the difference is night and day.

Yep that is mine. But it is in Chicago unfortunately.

It replaced our 19' FourWinns and rides well but a 22' or 24' will handle Lake Mead and big water better. Our 20V has been in rough wind blown open water on Tablerock and Bullshoals which in main bodies can get real rough with wind and cruiser wakes. For a 20 footer it does well but a 24' will have advantage. The 20V is a blast to drive because of its handling. The sports car quote is fairly accurate. It feels like one and will turn circles around my brothers 24' Mastercraft and cousins 20' Mastercraft. In rough water and large rollers you need to slow down or either catch some air or water over the bow. Due to storage concerns 20' is my limit. A Z1 might have worked but it would have required a more expensive custom trailer and removal of taps plate to store in my 21'6" garage. I won't store outside when not in use and when stored at home it cannot be left on drive longer than a day.

Maybe we will just hold out for a 22 footer. If I only had a truck to pull a 24 footer, id be buying one. Theres tons of good deals on 24 foot tiges right now. Even an 07 24v (I think dont remember) for about $36,000.

As much as I love my 20V, the 22' Tiges are still my favorite boats(both 22ve and RZ2).

How would an rz1 do on the bigger lakes? I assume it would do good, especially with ballast to weigh it down in the chop.

I don't know if the Z1 would do much better than the 20V. I have been in some pretty good chop with my 20V and it wasn't too bad but, I'm sure a bigger boat would have done better.

                    Advice on this? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/boa/1761497116.html

For the price its a pretty good deal, and I can always add fat sacs.

If I were looking for a 22 I would look for a newer 22ve. Could be a good deal though. If you are close enough demo it and see what you think.

I guess were still just searching craigslist daily, but I have yet to find anything that really catches my eye, except a 24 footer. Is there any specific reason why theres so many tige 24 footers for sale, same year 24v are going for same price or less as 20 or 22v, and its not just one theres quite a few deals on the 24v.

They are absolute tanks! The RZ2 can generally handle all the poeple you have and there just seems to be huge difference between the two. It is a ton of boat.

I know this is a tige forum, but Im going to check out a 2005 Malibu Wakesetter vlx tomorrow. Anyone know anything about these boats? Also it weighs 3600 dry. Anyone know the weight of a 21 foot boat with trailer, gas, gear etc.

The trailer could easily be 1200 lbs. Tank of fuel = 250 lbs, couple hundred for tower, then add in gear, stereo equipment and batteries, etc.

Well I know that the boat and trailer are 4500 dry. Then the weight of gas, wakeboards, tubes, ropes, anchor, tower, tower speakers, and a sub. Do you think that will be more than 6000 pounds?
