Dude move to FLA. got a whole weekend planned at the islands and sandbars at the beach...no oil here yet thank god...my biggest worry is trying not to get sunburnt! wont be a whole lot of riding but will be a bunch of sun/fun!
Just came back from Powell yesterday. Wind, wind and more wind. The wind would blow in circles. I anchored my boat and then sat in it for 5 minutes and changed directions 3 times.
We got lazy and did not push the houseboat up higher on the beach and one evening the front slipped off the shore due to wind and rising water. Luckily, the wind changed directions promptly and pushed it back where it was for me. Then I learned to drive her up onto the sand every 12 hours when the lake is rising that fast.
In the 5 days I was there it raised several feet.
The first couple days it was suffocatingly hot, like in July or August. Then it cooled slightly.
Same up here guys. Did not even have a summer last year. This year is looking to be the same. Wait all year for 2 months of summer that never comes. Rain rain rain, wind, wind wind. Good thing I have an ATV.
