Just came back from Powell yesterday. Wind, wind and more wind. The wind would blow in circles. I anchored my boat and then sat in it for 5 minutes and changed directions 3 times.
We got lazy and did not push the houseboat up higher on the beach and one evening the front slipped off the shore due to wind and rising water. Luckily, the wind changed directions promptly and pushed it back where it was for me. Then I learned to drive her up onto the sand every 12 hours when the lake is rising that fast.
In the 5 days I was there it raised several feet.
The first couple days it was suffocatingly hot, like in July or August. Then it cooled slightly.Last edited by talltigeguy; 06-12-2010, 01:47 AM.Be excellent to one another.

Tall, how far did you go up the lake? What Canyon did you end up staying in?
