I to have had this experence...a good friend offered to help me load the boat I went and got the trailer while he was with the boat. He drove the boat on the trailer I tightend down the winch and pulled out. Drove to a wipe down area aobut 3 minutes away, stopped got out of the truck only to hear the sound of the boat still running. I still give my fried gas about that day he has been around boats his whole life....

We did it just once with our new boat....my son left it running for less than a minute from the ramp. You can hardly hear it run out of the water and no need for a FAE with a Catalyst equipped Indmar engine; it also has the silent tip exhaust from the factory.Comment

I can easily see it happening to me since I installed FAE last fall. When I fired it up for the first time I almost turned the hit the starter again, didn't realize that it had already started.
I know that if I was talking on the cell, I'd surely leave it running out of the water. I can't do two things at once.Comment
