No radio, taps, blower etc.

Hey guys. Could use a little help.

I plugged a faulty pump adaptor plug into the 12 v adaptor. Radio, taps, blower etc. suddenly dead. After some searching I found the 5 amp fuse blown near battery (positive terminal). I replaced the fuse and was stoked expecting that I'd fixed the problem. Sadly, still no dash functions. I found a big red button on the side of the "main accessory panel" box, pressed it but still no functions.

Can someone help me figure this out?

Mine has two 40 amp breakers which distribute power to different branches on boat.

It sounds like just a portion of your power is out. There is a wiring schematic in the downloads area that is for a 20V but it might give you an idea as to how the power is routed for the systems that have no power.

From what I see the power for the devices you mention go to the same breaker on the breaker panel with connector C a 9 pin connector. I cannot tell which breaker supports those items though.

that 5 amp fuse is for the auto bildge. Its sounds like you popped the main breaker to the dash. go back to the batter and look for the smaller of the red battery cables follow it and I would guess within 1-1.5 ft you will run into the breaker. It will have a little lever you need to flip. I will see if I can find a pic of one for you.

Looks like it does go to the c 9 pin connector. but according to the diagram... they are split between two connectors. some on the C and some on the B connector.

I looked for a breaker from the battery but have found nothing. Smaller red wire runs from battery into 5 amp fuse connector up to main power disconnect and then to the main accessory breaker box. like I said... there is a red button labeled 50A on the side of the box. I've pushed on it but it doesn't do anything.

I'll keep searching.

I will see what mine traces to but since my boat is newer I won't be sure. I will review another document I have to see if I can get you more info.

Whoohooo! Found the problem. Thanks Money Pity and kko, after reading your posts I crawled inside back locker and really took my time following the wires. Right out of the main power disconnect was another fuse holder. Put new fuse in, turned on the main power and... blower immediately turned on!

All accessories work fine... when I try to adjust the Taps, I blow a fuse!

Any thoughts?

The taps guage will move for a very short period of time and then the fuse goes.

Does the taps plate move? I have not looked but I suspect the taps pump may be on fuse that is blowing. Isolqte hot lead to Pump and see what happens.

I'm not electrical smart... how would i go about isolating the hot lead to the taps pump?
