    FAE coating

Has anybody notice the coating coming peeling off the inside of there FAE? My coating is coming off right were the water exits out the FAE.

Mine is doing it also. I don't make much of it, but I noticed it last week.

My coating came off the inside and outside of my FAE. It looked like cr@p!

I ordered mine polished and it still looks great. I wonder how much it would cost to send it back to be sandblasted and polished?

I just got off the phone w/ Dr. Mann. He told me that they have seen this and it will not hurt anything.

On mine, it is starting to peel around the bottom edge. So ImaPigDog, I asked what if it starts to peel on the outside of the FAE. He said it will not hurt the function of the unit but he would be willing to re-coat it. I would just have to pay for shipping.

Here is a test they are doing w/ the FAE he told me about. Pretty cool.

yeah he was telling me that on the phone... i don't really get what that really matters but i guess it just shows you how fast the gasses are moving?

I wish they showed some testing at slower speeds like 9-11mph (Surfing speeds)

I must say for me this was the best thing I put on my boat. I don't put people up front unless they want to get wet! So the FAE took all the fumes aways and we use my boat most of the time now.

I think that the point is that it doesn't create more back exhaust pressure by forcing the exhaust through the additional pipes and into the water. For example, I get 10 more horsepower out of my Mustang by putting a more free flowing exhaust on it. I was actually a little worried about the additional back pressure when I installed mine and this takes my worry away-that video is pretty cool!

I wonder if Dr. Mann could quantitate whether the venturi effect from the water negated the back pressure of the FAE or better yet actually created more free flow at different speeds?
