New DBG Tower

I had a few issues with the old tower & recently replaced it with a new DBG Tower.

Basically same lines as the old tower, only with two (2) support bars across the top of the tower. One exclusively holds the speaker making this tower rock solid. There is very minimal side to side sway in comparison to the other tower.

It fits into its garage where it is stored with out being collapsed, so I don't know how easy it is & I have no pictures.

The bimini is 10'L so it gives the entire cockpit & seating area lots of shade.

I really like the tower. Plus, I have the long bimini as well on my boat and love it for the hot days at Lake Powell. I have always wondered how I would do the bimini extension on a new boat with the new Tige towers.

I also don't like how the tower speakers are right above the driver's head and blasts the people in the back seat.

Your tower is high enough that you can turn it loud for the boarders and not deafen the back seat riders.

I am assuming this is an after-market or can you purchase it from Tige?

There are definitely some hot days at Powell. During the summer months in Needles the thermometer on the porch averages 120. The extra long bimini definitely helps and tower speakers are tall enough can totally blast them w/o deafening out the back passengers.


It is an aftermarket tower...but someone at DBG told me that they were in works with Tige to team up and mfg this for their boats. Don't know how accurate this is or if it will happen???
