Hello, getting the boat ready and one of the things on my list is the empty coolant reservoir. I put it away like that in the fall. I never got any overheating issues or codes - the manual says if it's empty to NOT fill it and to bring it into a dealer. Obviously you know my question here... can I just fill it and bring coolant on the water and monitor it as it sucks it in or is not self venting? I did suspect the heater to be leaking as my ballast bag was slimy. The hose fittings were lose and I tightened everything up. This is a 2017 Z1 with Indmar 6.2.
