New to Tigé and happy to be here!

New to this forum and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a lifelong boater from the Seattle area and my wife and I (and two daughters) just purchased a 2025 Tigé Z3 from Bjornson Marine in Richland, WA (also in Auburn, WA) and are super excited to have such an awesome boat. We came over from a 2019 Axis A22 that we loved but decided it was time to upgrade from the Axis and Tigé was the best fit for us. We had a 2000 Epic X22 prior to our Axis.

I've spent a lot of time over on the Malibu Crew Forum where it's a very active community that was tremendously helpful during our time with the Axis. Hoping for a similar experience on this forum. Look forward to learning more about Tigé's here and using it as a go-to for questions and tips...and also helping others as I gain more knowledge! One thing is for sure...summer is coming and we are excited about it!!

One of my first questions about the new Tigé Z3 is how the 3750lbs of ballast is allocated in the boat? I have two 155lb bags in the bow under the seats and one gigantic, unmarked PNP bag in each of the the two rear storage compartments but I am not convinced those all total the 3750lbs these boats are marketed to have. Are there hidden tanks underfloor? I haven't asked the dealer about it yet but just curious if anyone knows?

      Congrats on the new boat!

Tige went away from subfloor bags on the z series. Those rear bags in the back plus your bow ballast is the total for everything. Some like to add lead to get more but should be great from stock.

I did just notice that there is a PNP bag under the walkthrough to the bow (in addition to the 2 bow bags under the seats). I can't really see it well (viewing from under bow cushions) but if I really want to take a closer look at it, the walkthrough flooring can be removed (4 screws) to access. Not really worried about it but just curious. Still breaking in the motor (at 5 hours), so I haven't filled ballast yet. The wave is honestly not bad with zero ballast, so I'm guessing it will be great when filled. The rear locker bags are HUGE, I just don't know the weight of each of them.

Probably shouldn't change the topic on this thread (sorry) but our boat came stock with the OJ Wakepro V4 2726 (16.25x16.75) with a .120 cup. Once I get more RPM numbers, etc., I'm likely going to get a 2nd prop that I'm hoping will end up being the main prop we use. As of now, I'm GUESSING I'll be zeroing in on the ACME 3077 (17x15.5 with a .150 cup).
I spoke with ACME and OJ and it seems like the best way to go will likely be the 3077. Despite having lower pitch, its bigger diameter, paired with more cup is likely going to lead to lower RPM's and better efficiency for just about everything we do and it will be great for the surf loads it will be pushing. Apparently ACME is testing the 3077 and the 4199 (16.5x15.5 with .105 cup) on new Tige models and they are becoming stock props on some of their boats as they are finding lowering RPM's vs the 2726.
