New Here - New to Tige Boats - Advice on purchasing

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2006 22V - My past experience with boats is fairly extensive - from run-abouts, to 34ft cruiser, to 21ft Jet Boat.
What should i be looking out for when purchasing this used boat besides the obvious stuff - condition, propulsion, engine compression, through hulls? This would be my first wake/surf boat and i dont know much about the wake equipment - so i am just looking for Tige V22 specific issues. I want to be an informed purchaser!

    Thanks in advance!

#1. Read up on the boat: design, features, reviews, etc. When you get a feel for how the boat was promoted and received, you'll get a better idea of what to look for. You just have to do the research to inform yourself; there's no easy button.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike (and welcome to the forum!)

In Northern California we have no Tige' dealership anymore either. If I want to take my boat to a dealer, I have to tow it over 200 miles to Central California. Sad Tige' is losing so many of its dealerships.

For myself I love Tige, 3 Tige’s and now ATX 22s purchased new. Problems coming up and no return calls or info from dealership or Tige execs. May have to look at the local Master Craft dealer and move into their brand.

Everyone told me Florida was a Master Craft, Nautique state when I bought my first 2015 Tige.
There is a Master Craft dealership AWS just 10 miles from me so it is looking like I may have to switch over and get into a Master Craft.
Not opposed to it, but I like the finish of Tige but realistically I need service after the sale more than a nice interior.

With new boats having dealer support is almost a must, for the boat in question a 2006 22V, even the Tige dealership will be just like any other service shop. Most parts have long since stopped production.

With that said, that boat is simple compared to the new models and the powertrain is industry standard minus minor differences between marinizer. See what has been done to the surf system on the boat. The factory surf system in those years left more to be desired.

The 2006 22v will be out of warranty and will just need to be checked over to make sure most things are in working order.
