    New boat question

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Picked up a 2013 Z3 last week and after a few phone calls and emails, found out the previous owner removed the pro surf bag setup at some point. Was just wondering if the Wakemakers bag buster kit is worth getting vs trying to replicate the OEM package.

Congrats! Definitely skip the factory bags (which you likely can’t get anymore) and go for the larger wakemaker ones.

Welcome to Tige! We are neighbors (Murrieta, CA). I would recommend reaching out to Mikes Liquid Audio. He may even have the file still for the bags you need. You may also want to look into the West Coast Tige Owners Reunion at Lake Havasu, September 12-15, 2025.

Well, hello neighbor. I’m actually in the French Valley area, right up against the Lake Skinner dam, basically. I saw the banner on the site for the reunion and am hoping to head out to it. Gotta call the hotel and see what the availability is. Then just gotta make sure I can get those days off work if my schedule doesn’t jive.

Nice that it had pro surf at one point.
Quick release connections are a lifesaver. L shaped rear bags would take storage but add precious weight. Your boat would like more weight up front than factory even with pro surf. Congratulations
            Keep us updated

I have some stock pro surf bags from a 2012 RZ4 I’d be willing to sell and ship really cheap. Let me know if interested. Congrats on new boat!!

This is super tempting. Looked in the lockers today and didn’t see anything that led me to believe it would be a simple hookup. The build sheet I got from Tigé said it came with the pro package but I don’t see the fittings for the bags. Will keep digging this weekend.

On a side note, got a “Magic Button” installed and also swapped the stupid horn button for something a little better looking. Removed the horn button and drilled for the power button. Cut off the aux input and the new horn button dropped right in. Don’t have a daytime photo but looks a ton better to me.

Pro surf had two bags in front and two bags with two tanks in back. If you have four fill holes in the bottom of your hull your good. Probably need to replace and repair or at least inspect the whole thing anyway.
Use 1 1/8 hoses instead of one inch. Believe that was what pro surf used.
Your gonna want upgraded bags all around.
I’m thinking for replacing the two front bags with one big one. With a light crew seems we always need more weight up there.
Did I say quick release connections

Scottspray, sweet, thanks for the info. Will definitely be crawling around tomorrow to trace everything back and see what’s going on. The build sheet I got from Tigé said Pro Surf was ordered and delivered. Just gotta find the fittings and see what’s going on.

Hard tanks under floor in rear with pro surf. Check for cracks and leaks while you are there. The drain pumps for the back are connected to the hard tanks I believe. If so, check that connection closely.
Make sure you bilge pump works
