    BOAT WONT SELL

    TROUBLE SELLING BOAT(listed too high?)
Im sick of storing it and never being able to use it
2007 Tigé 20v, under 400 hours, aftermarket wake makers ballasts, two additional Rockford fosgate tower speakers, and it’s clean for the year. I have it listed in the 30,000 ballpark
I have had my boat listed all
summer and am trying to sell it and I’ll buy another after I buy a lake cabin.
Anyone else having trouble making a sale??

When we had water here in central Texas, that boat would sell in the mid to low $30k. Not to pick on you, but what do you mean clean for its age?

How long ago would that have been? I mean it gets used three months out of the year since I live in nd and it doesn’t have any major scratches or wear as most 17 year old boats would. And the upkeep of fiberglass has been done. Has some sun damage to seats as a previous owner never used it and let it sit but that’s only three of the small cushions. I’ve had it for three seasons and it only had 300 hours on it when I got it

LOL....A couple things come to mind. And not tryin to be ugly. Possibly you think it is in better condition than it is? for other comparable years. Also not being political but things are tough for some people right now. incase you haven't noticed... Food and fuel are through the roof. Interest on loans are way up. not many people have 30k cash just lying around. and those that do.... are not spending it. Posting it here in the wrong section probably not going to solve your problem either.(Among multiple times) I am on other... non boat fourms some things are moving some are not.(expendable toys) How many price drops have you done? You might have to wait till things get better. Three years ago was kinda at the end of the boat bubble. you couldn't find a boat to buy during it. lots of them are coming back to market so there is a lot to choose from now. Look at the RV market right now.... You cant give one away. Not that your boat will not bring 30k. it should. but someone with one just a little cleaner might sell theres first. I suggest getting "Glamour shots" type shots of the boat. The better the pics the better the chance you have to sell...lots of good Quality pics.... Pics in the shop (like the one you have here) I wouldn't stop scrolling to be honest. In a competitive market you are going to have to get people to notice. JMO. Good luck.

2 years although my county has been under drought for over 1000 days. Local lakes are below 50% capacity and most have just one boat ramp that is operational out of the dozen that are normally open.

The reason I asked, was around here, I see that quote all the time. But it is a wide spectrum of conditions and hours. I sold my boat right before the bubble in less than a week for asking price, but I was upfront with pics showing the good and the bad. The buyer for my boat bought my boat because I disclosed issues and not waste his time with just the pretty pictures.
