    Lights not turning on

First time this happened to me. 2022 Z3, was out on an evening ride with cockpit, tower and nav lights on, then all of sudden, all light turned off… engine was still on and music still worked on touch screened… ballast, lights, bilge and blower no longer worked from the touch screen, had to use the manual switches.

Question is, is there a fuse that went out for this to happen?

Cockpit/courtesy lights and NAV/ANC lights will have dedicated circuit protection. Could be a fuse or a resettable breaker. The NAV and ANC could also have dedicated circuit protection. Just for the heck of it, try putting the battery switch in the 4 oclock COMBINE position and see of the lights come back on.

So I checked the fuses near the Manual fuses and the fuses on the engine bay… all fuses good. Is there another location for fuses I could look for?

Found it! Breaker behind the batteries! Thankful for that dealer support (Germaine socal “Bill”) picture in case anyone comes across this same problem.

Haha I’m sure he would have enjoyed that call on a Sunday LDW.

IMHO Tige wiring and electrical systems are sloppy.

Well, honestly I haven’t looked at other boats. But I did build an airplane and designed its electrical system and personally wired it. (Google N7842K, though I no longer own it). And I am an electrical engineer.

I have reworked my 2003’s dual battery system; added an ACR. Pulled all its gauges and breakers to refurbish my boat’s cockpit. And created and supplied a replacement TAPS2 control box.

So I’ve been around the block a couple of times. Having unlabeled breakers and fuses randomly placed around the boat, some zip tied in the bundle, isn’t exactly best practice.

                        Thanks for that opinion…

Should go check out the newer boats… definitely and upgrade from an 03.

Well, I would have thought so. But the boat above in this thread is a 2022….

                            Yep… yours truly..

Only sloppiness going on in my boat is my sloppy drunk *** trying to find these breakers!
