Help! Are these issues reason not to buy?

    Hello all,

I am potentially buying a 2004 22i R for $13k. I went and saw the boat today. A couple issues I found that I need more expertise on.

At the base of the tower, the gel coat is cracking due to the load from the tower. I can’t really tell if the fiberglass is cracking as well but it looks like it. I’m wondering if this is a cause for concern and reason to potentially not buy the boat? Can this be fixed? Does it need to be fixed?

Second issue is under the boats hull, at the V, the paint and gel coat has been worn down to the fiberglass. It is mostly still smooth but has been beached way too much imo. Would this also be a cause for concern and can this be fixed? Any help is greatly appreciated. Photos attached.

Me personally, I for that price I would take it. The tower gel coat looks to be from a bad install and not drilling the bolt holes properly. As far as the bottom, that fiberglass is really thick. A diy repair would cover that up and only the fishes would see it.

Those cosmetics could be repaired easily.. 13K is a good buy… as long as the engine is sound.. should be good

Just FYI, I have the 2005 22i and love the boat. We surf (with bags), wakeboard, and tube without difficulty. It's easy to work on and parts are easy to get when needed.
