No start, fuel delivery issue on, 5.7 Marine power

Hey guys 2007 Tige 22i with marine power 5.7. Got towed off the lake for the first time after the boat would crank but no fire. Found a fuel line fitting failure with a fuel leak, replaced the fittings to the g force pump, high power fuel pump, as well as the line from g force to low fuel pump.

Now the boat will crank all day long but it will not fire, it will occasionally fire for a few seconds. The confusing part is even with starting fluid it only starts for a few seconds. I can hear/feel both high and low power fuel pumps working but it seems to be a fuel delivery issue, anyone ever experienced this or have any advice?

What is your fuel pressure reading? Are you getting fuel to the Schrader valve?

I’m at 10psi on the pressure gauge so there’s where the problem lies (thanks for that). Is there a way to check the fuel pressure regulator?

Pulled the plugs, I have 2 plugs that are slightly wet around the threads, nothing over the top, but they are different than the rest of the plugs they are the cylinders closest to the stern on either side of the block. Im hoping its something simple with needing the regulator replaced

With the engine not running. the reg Should be Wide open. Probably the pump. there is a little screen in some of the pumps.that could be clogged. worth a look.

The high pressure pump is new and the filter was checked out about 10/15 hrs ago. I’m really hoping it’s the regulator.

Kind of a long shot, but I was having intermittent issues with starting or continuing to run and chased it for a while. Turns out, the fuse connection on the engine for the fuel pump had gapped a little so with bumpy water, it would lose contact and shut off. I pinched the connector together a bit and it's been fine since then. I have a 2005 22i so should be similar set up.

I dont have that exact panel, but I can feel the high pressure and low pressure pumps running so I dont feel like its a pump issue unless its the low pressure pump. I appreciate the idea, I'll check it regardless.

Im going to try to track down a fuel pressure regulator today and swap it and see. Hopefully the gm dealer has one because the only part number I have is a gm number so its always hard sourcing parts from napa.

Have a new fuel pressure regulator coming in, which was hard to track down, the gm part number is restricted and marine power is out of them.

Anything else I should check? I’m hoping it’s the simple regulator swap but I’m skeptical.

Confirmed high and low pressure fuel pumps are working.
Parts replaced: New high pressure fuel pump/wiring, new fuel filter, new fuel pressure regulator.

Still only have about 12 psi of fuel pressure and it dies down to 0psi immediately. Am I dealing with an injector problem?

For future people looking at this thread, high and low pressure pumps were good, bad check valve on one of the fuel lines is what the mechanic found.
