2016 RZX prop. Yes, I’m sorry.

I’m brand new to boat ownership and we purchased a 2016 RZX 440. We run with an average of 8-12 people and we both wakeboard and just cruise around. I know this is probably the 100,000 time this has been asked but what is the best prop for cruising to get up and be a little faster (40 mph) and also the best prop for wake launch. We are at 650 ft on Columbia river and once in a while a lake at 2200 ft. Primarily the 650 ft elevation though. I’m sure these two uses are going to be 2 different props but I would like to know both so that I can adjust according to the primary use that summer. Thanks for understanding my ignorance and for any help I can get!

Wont truly be able to recommend anything until we know what is currently on your boat. If I had to guess I would say acme 2419 15x12. That is a good option but not the greatest for top end but you aren't going to get to 40mph with anything that can push weight in that boat. With a little work you can run a 16" but you sacrifice in a few places.

Hey i have the same boat in between your elevations. Nothing is going to do what you described but i bought a 2775 and i think it's the best i could get. Can cruise at 27-28 and low rpms and enough *** for surfing heavy.

Thank you both. I looked back and saw I put 40mph and I meant 30mph. I currently have a 2249 and it runs alright but I’m not sure comparatively what rpm’s and cruise speed should be. We got it a few weeks ago and haven’t been wakeboarding yet with any regularity of weather here in WA state. So I haven’t been able to really “learn” the boat yet. Thanks so much for the help.

That prop will be what you want for cruising. Weighted down and at high elevations you will want a lower pitch.
