The more I thought about what you are trying to accomplish, the more I am intrigued. This could serve as a guide for those who have older boats with no support for the digitals and be able to use off the shelf commodity parts to restore function to their boat.

Okay guys so I am still in the planning and research phase. I have removed parts from the dash to measure and help plan how I will retrofit the replacement parts. So I brought 2 gauges home to open them for more measurements. My plan is to use the original gauge bezels and lense, I have ordered from Intellitronix a 6 gauge create your own cluster. I will be using the two 3 inch gauges from the tigé for rpm and speed. The rest will fit the 5 inch tigé gauge hole and make a multi gauge. I am waiting for shipping at the moment. I will have those to keep the gauge cluster original looking with a modern touch. And everyone likes redundancy right? So I plan to have my analog signals going to those gauges, and to the touchscreen so I can view the engine data on the touchscreen, but we will see when I add up cost estimates. The spacing for the touchscreen is an odd size. So I likely will have to change some things on the dash for a 7 inch touchscreen to go back in. 20231010_144123.jpg20231013_114103.jpg

I'm going to go ahead and get the prop off, so I can send it to be repaired. I don't know how long it will be before I see it back from the repair shop. If you look in the photo on the prop shaft brace, you can see a rusty line and that's where the hole was that sank the boat 20231002_121444.jpg

What prop is that? If you plan to surf this boat with any decent amount of weight, that prop may not do the job, so a waste to repair.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

20231013_164016.jpg This is it. I don't know anything about it really but hopefully it's the right match for this boat. 20231013_164030.jpg

So my preference on props from experience, this is with me having never pulled anything except tubes, I prefer higher pitch props. The speed with less rpms is what I like but it's a 30 min drive on the lake to get to any other good stops. Now higher pitch believe it or not actually gives better fuel mileage, not that a boat is expected to do any more than drink gas. All boats drink gas when you drive fast like me. But this boat is obviously designed for towing instead of speed. So I expect a blend of acceleration and speed. Not expecting either one to be much more than the other.

Props on these boats are all about what you want the boat to do. If you are wanting a tow-pig surf machine, this prop is a paper weight and I wouldnt spend a dim on repairing it.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

So do you guys go to the nearest Tigé dealership when you need parts or do you get online, and I'm talking particularly Tigé parts, structural and parts, I know it varies by what you need, well let's say I want original parts, nothing engine related. Maybe some new lenses for my Docking lights or replacement foam for the swin platform that's identical to whats there now. What website do you go to if getting it online? Some of this stuff is not easy to find. I haven't tried a dealership yet. But before the parts become obsolete I hope to find them

20231020_214502.jpg So tonight I am running through some experiments for test fitting things in the tige. My tigé touch screen is coming out and plans go go back with a bigger touch screen. So multiple brands sell 7 inch touchscreens. I will likely buy Garmin but all brands have a bigger screen than the original touch screen. I could buy a smaller screen but that come with more losses such as losing the ability to switch on electronics with the screen. And 7 inch screens aren't disappearing from the market any time soon. So to make a 7 inch fit it have to make my own dash panel for the screen to look right. And I'm in the process of testing the fit by using abs plastic and forming it to the shape it will be in the end. Then I will see how it fits into the boat. And then I will make another one out of acrylic but it will be the final one that remains in the boat. Here is pics while I'm in the forming stage. I will upload more as I get further along. 20231020_214753.jpg20231020_214745.jpg20231020_214626.jpg

Here is the finished size on the experimental abs plastic. Tomorrow I will get in the boat and do some modifications to fit this in the dash 20231021_183434.jpg20231021_183358.jpg
