Hello All,

I have 2022 Z1 that I need to change the special V-drive fluid for routine maintenance- Anyone know the best/easy way to do this? I assuming vacuum pump out then funnel back in?

Also with colder weather coming up here in the NEPA, what is best way to winterize ballast system- specifically the pumps.

Any help is appreciated!

Yep, use a vacuum or fluid extraction pump and refill through the same hole. Get it warm if you can due to its weight, can take some serious time trying to remove cold.

Ballast winterization is a topic that everyone does differently. I remove, clean and store ballast bags out of the boat. Take the drain hoses, fill them with antifreeze and shoot it out the side of the boat and done. Lots of different ways, but that has worked for me.

For the ballast just take the caps off the top of the drain pumps and all the water will run into the bilge. Try and get as much out of the bags but not the end of the world to have a little left, mostly just get the water out of the pumps.
