    So Cal Reunion

OK guys I went to Naci and San Antonio. San Antonio looks like a amazing lake to do a reunion. it is almost full right now. You can camp on the water front. You can drive on the water front with your car and park it right by your boat. They have a huge group site that we can reserve that is all grassed in. Volley Ball. Big BBQ we can rent for $25.00 a day. Bathrooms, Showers and a lake that was amazingly smooth to board on and water that generally hits high 80's with in the next month. This is all good for the wife and kids.

So lets get something going in CA for once. Second attempt at this. Who is up for it and who will come. Everyone is welcome. We need to get a boat count, Camping count, and day use count. I will post pricing up on camp sites when I get back to the office so I can get my hands on my flyer's sitting on my desk.

I have a trip planned the last week of June (26-30) at San An.

I would definitely be interested in showing up depending on scheduling, of course. I am good for 1 boat and probably 6 people.

Here is my thoughts. We can get some T-Shirts made up. I have good source on them. I have some products we can get from some vendors for raffles. We can find a way to take care of the food jointly. Maybe see if TIGE wants to get involved in any way and put together a first Annual reunion and start to do this every year.

We need to start to do what is done at Lake Mead in California for those that can not make the Mead trip each year. San Antonio provides a perfect place for that. and in reality a better place for it. It is much more family oriented and a closer drive by far for the Nor Cal Boys and they can participate with us. I do not want to limit this to TIGE boats. They will be the sponsors and get the advertisments but it is a great opportunity to get everyone that has a love for the sport and activity to get involved. I need to get going on this right away but need to know if it will be worth the effort if we will get the attendance. It should be warm by then.

Wish we could do this but there are so many things going on right now. We already have a few trips planned in June and July and then at the end of July, we are done with any trip for 8-12 weeks.

SPBFan, I will call you in 45 minutes. Have to get some work done before I leave for the day.

I'm ready for summer to start!

I would think it would be faster to come accross the 10 and connect to the 101 and head straight north through oxnard, ventura, Santa Barbra, Pismo, and such.

Google maps said it was a tad bit faster going hwy 5...but to each their own. Personally I would prefer the 101 any day over hwy 5, but its a bit slower...especially between Carp and Santa Barbara, what a C.F. it can be on Friday and Sunday nights! Not to bad if you know the back roads, but I wouldn't want to tow a boat on the back roads.

Each route you have some grades too, although Cuesta isn't nearly as bad as the Grapevine.

Its not. Done the trip many times. Plus the transition from 10 to the 101 really stinks when your pulling a boat. Its like they dont make the lanes wide enough in the downtown area.

That's pretty far for me considering my boat is in Needles. Only an hour and half or so away from Lake Mead.
