Good luck on the sale. I still love my RZ2.

We will blast "Lean like a Cholo" down house boat row at our marina and watch all the "There goes the neighborhood" looks.
I have that on my playlist too, the reaction from others is funny.

Im sure we will get some pictures up sometime in July. For the last couple of years we have posted the first images of the new models on here exclusively.

          Ragboy why not the RZ4?

          How does surf wake compare?

Well, I haven't had any time in an RZ4, but going off of the information that the RZ2 and 22Ve hulls are basically similar as far as how they would shape a surf wake, and the same with the RZ4 and the 24Ve, then I can tell you that the 24Ve throws a great wake, but it takes more weight and more effort. The RZ2 is much easier to get a great wake out of, and it has almost the same amount of room as the Ve. The 24 foot boats also will have a much harder time with cavitation and planing when weighted for that great wake. Since you need less weight, and have less boat, the RZ2 doesn't cavitate at all in its stock setup, at least with the PCM 409. And it will even plane with the competition wake weight we setup, and again without cavitation. I had to reprop my boat, and even then, it still cavitates a little, and won't plane fully weighted.

That makes the RZ2 much more versatile. It also handles much easier than my 24, as I know dabell also mentioned. But its quite noticeable, with or without weight. Its amazing how much of a difference that 2 feet makes.

I think I would probably still want 24 feet, but the RZ2 extra room in the bow makes it work for me, and then add the ease of setup, and versatile wake, its a no brainer.

That is great good luck on the the sale of the 24. I am sure who ever buys it will get a great boat. I want your swim platform for my boat. That is not a joke. I was going to call you this next week about the best way to go about setting that up and the cost involved.

You won't regret this move whatsoever. It's almost a night and day experience with handling.

Well, we experimented with the shape, but I still have the template we used. We just had it cut out of aluminum, then my dad cleaned it up, and cleaned all the edges, the cutting was not very clean, I guess not a very good CNC machine. Then we attached it with through bolts to the existing mounts, countersunk, added decking. Cost about $2000 of material and labor.

I had worked out with Samson what it would take to do this where they produced them for me based on a shape. Basically I could sell them for about $1200 each, but would have to do about 7 at a time, in order to get materials time down.

It was a lot of money, but we had fun doing the whole process, and I think it looks sick. And the water coming from under that deck, is as clean as it can be.

                          ragboy,
I'm glad to see you've changed your mindset about LCD's on boats. I have one and love it so far....sometimes I have reservations about all the electronics too, but would do it again. Good luck with your sale.

Well, they keep getting better. But I still wonder how these things are going to look and work after 10 years.

10 years is a lot of time on a LCD. However, during that 10 years and an LCD in a boat shouldn't look too bad IMO. But again, what testing has Tige done to show that this type of technology will last for years? We all know that touch systems have been around for many, many years now and each year, they are getting better and better.

As for LCD displays, the displays at my work are on at least 40-50 hours a week and have been doing so for 3+ years for some. However, these aren't touch displays. My smartphone's touchscreen has lasted almost 3 years with no issues. And that device has taken some beatings over the 3 years.

It doesn't matter, you'll have a 2015 boat and it will be someone else's problem .
