    wake9.com 24Ve for Sale

Well, this is tough, we love the boat. But that tige touch screen, RZ2 bow, yada yada, it has won us over.

I think we all knew this was coming. Go with a 2011.

Good luck with your sale! And woo hoo for you, being one of the the most educated and experienced in configuring boats for wakesurfing, sticking with Tige and the RZ2!!

Saw that comin. For the new boat, I would stay away from Red. I heard they tend to hit underwater logs marked with ice chests.

Glad to hear that you are keeping in the family. Would have been disappointing if you said you were going to a Supreme.

                  Good luck on the sale!

Even more disappointing if you would have said Sea-Ray or Bayliner.

                      @ptown That's funny. I don't care who you are.

Thanks guys. There have only been 2 other boats that have made me look at something other than tige for a moment, the Sanger V237 and this new Supreme. Both because they also throw good wakes on both sides.

The sanger was a quick no for me, I got in it, and I was done. My wife would have killed me if I got that boat. The supreme was nicer, and the wake was good, but after getting a LOT of time on the RZ2 for the festival, and getting the Master to weight it, the wake is world class. It has a bigger pocket than the supreme from what I saw, and RJ really liked the wake better on the RZ2. Not to mention, I am a techno whore, to put it not so mildly. I love the touch screen, automation, and I have to say, I always by cars or boats with cheap stereos and do it myself. But when I pumped the stereo in the Red contest RZ2 we took out for the day, it had the tower of power and 4 pro 60s on the tower, I was sold. I think that day out, is the day there was no doubt. The first day we reviewed, we loved it, and my family, the girls, wanted one NOW. But adding the extra weight, and cranking the tower of power stereo, that was it. I have only 1 car that I purchased where I was happy with the stereo and left it alone, and never a boat.

I have a 2010 Audi S5 Cabriolet with the Bang and Olufsen premium sound system, I think there are like 17 speakers in that cockpit, it sounds amazing. The stereo in that Red RZ2, it was equally impressive, and I am picky.

Not to mention I have I think 475 hours on my tige, and have only changed the oil and fixed bent props. I just replaced the steering cable due to wear and tear, but that is it. It has not given me a SINGLE day off the lake due to a mechanical issue.

Can't wait to sport the new RZ2 soon. My wife likes the Beige colors like the one we reviewed, the kids like the red. I think I like the Beige, but as long as it has that stereo and the pro ballast, me and RJ will be good. We will blast "Lean like a Cholo" down house boat row at our marina and watch all the "There goes the neighborhood" looks.

Good luck with the sale. I was also wondering if after all the reviews and surfing you guys did on the RZ2 you would switch. I would if it was in the cards for me. Anyways, when are we going to get to see the mock up's for the new RZ2 color schemes, tower, ballast, etc?

@austinsouthside, thanks, and I don't know. Probably in August some time, not sure. I am sure Danny probably knows. I can tell you this, get him around a camp fire late at night with a few adult beverages, then ask him.

                          ;-)

                            .....Lucky.....

Holy crap, our 07ve has 151 hours, and 50 of them are from two separate one week trips to our happy place, Lake Okoboji, Iowa. That's a lot of serious fun...

470 hours is just getting warmed up. I bought my first boat in 2004 ('89 VIP w/302 Cobra) with 445 hours* and ran it til 670 w/basic annual maintenance. In a cool coincidence, I saw that original boat out on lake Monday night--the people I sold to sold it last winter to some 20something brothers who were buying their first boat. They were wakeboarding behind it w/the Monster Tower I put on in 2005 and having a great time. Good to see it still bringing big smiles to the new owners. As I nostalgically watched my old boat go by....I looked down at our ve and thought as much fun as I had on the old boat, this one is BETTER IN EVERY WAY. You'll probably experience that the changes from the Ve to the RZ will be better in a DIFFERENT ways. All in all, congrats & good luck with the sale.

*it took a succession of owners 15 years to put 445 hours on my first boat; you did 470 in 3+ seasons. Holy crap you get it out on water!

I'm laughing my arse off. But again, I heard that a certain red RZ2 has some "discounts" associated with it now

                              happy wife = happy life

BTW, the RZ2 that Ben takes around the west coast is da-bomb. I like everything about that boat.
