    First launch ever

Okay it finally happened, the weather and schedules allowed me and my family finally to try out the new to us 2002 20i that we purchased in early March. So considering that this is our first boat ever and first opportunity to operate a true in-board all things went great.

For a older boat what a treat to drive, looking forward to our summer.

I have been following the forums religiously since I joined and have to say the experience I have gained from reading from you all really made our day enjoyable. Thanks for that.

Some things I learned from our experience are; Will take a bit to learn how to quickly load the boat after use and to pull up to a dock. I am glad to say we did not forget the plugs, Remembered to take the back tie downs off so all was good.

I did forget to take my camera so will post pics another time.

One question I do have is while driving the TAPS gauge was very erratic, is that normal or something need to look into?

Thanks are again for all the advice found on this site it is truly helpful.

PS: The only thing that went wrong today was I fell off the dock loading the boat. Oh well everyone had a good laugh at my expense.

Sounds like there may be a loose wire. The needle should stay put while the ignition is on.

Thanks, can I assume that I should look at the the wire attached to the gauge first?

Great news to finally be able to use your new boat. Congrats and I hope you get plenty of use up North.

Only 1 question. How was the water?

Water was cold and rough, not a great water wise, but a great day getting to drive the boat.
