2018 R21
180 HRS
While prepping my boat for the start of the season I noticed the vinyl pad at the tower support was displaced.
At the end of last summer I had not noticed any issues with the tower during raising or lowering
After some investigation I discovered a bolt had failed.
This resulted in the additional damage to the black bushing which was the cause of the displaced vinyl (see photos)
Thankfully the boat was still under warranty.
After three weeks of discussion between my dealership/Tige/Hurricane it was finally fixed.
Both port and starboard bolts and bushings were replaced.
Only explanation I was given was that it was an isolated random bolt failure.
I do tow regularly with the tower down both long and short trips.
Just curious if I'm the only one who has had this particular failure?
