Fuel tank

Hello everyone. New to the tige world and boating world. My fuel gauge is not working correctly. I’m assuming the fuel sender went out. Does anyone know how to get the carpet base out that’s on top of the fuel tank to get to the actual fuel tanks itself? This is on a 2004 21i. Thanks in advance.

Howdy. I'm sure you figured it out already, but I just took out my carpeted base on my tige. It was just 2 screws on the right side that screwed into a little carpeted piece of wood. Not sure if yours is the same.
