24v Closed Cooling Mod? (**HELP**)

2005 24V With 6.0 Closed Cooling struggles.. I can find reference to the modification adding a washer in the thermostat housing but all links are dead. Can someone point me to a good link or send me the mod please? I just had to tear my heads off and rebuild but still have struggles in keeping her cool.
