Need new swim platform bracket

Well I took the platform off to work on it, witch isn’t going so good but I left it and all my tools on the floor with the platform. My younger sister must have came home last night and not seen the big mess I have all over the garage and ran over the platform. I need a new bracket bad. I have been trying to bend it back but no luck so far.

I have a 2002 teak swim platform on a 22i. If anyone has one lying around I would love to buy it. But we are taking the boat out next weekend so I need it kind of fast.

I also need helping sanding my teak. I have been sanding and sanding and it still looks like crap.

Might be tough to find someone with an extra bracket that fits that quickly. I think a better solution may be to take the remaining bracket to a machine shop and have them fabricate one to match.

That is a good idea but i thought i would try.

does anyone know how much a new one would cost from the dealer?

What do you mean about sanding and sanding?

You don't want to sand much at all! Just a very light sanding, take a shop vac to it or use a tack cloth and then oil it. When sanded it will likely look like crap... it is the oil that makes it shine.

I guess I mean the stuff is pretty tough. I still have some places where the board made marks and they are not coming out.

I don't think you will find one from the factory. i would head right to a machine shop in the morning and get it going.

Post up some pictures of the teak, so we can see what you've got?

the teak is ok now it still has some marks on it but it is nice and goldenish-redish.

But i still need a new bracket.
