I go to Lake Powell in 2 weeks, and I sure hope that the wind and cool weather will stop by then. The lake is likely to only be in the 60's by then. Usually I am hoping for over 70. NO way this year unless things change in a hurry. I only have 1 week on the houseboat, so it is now or never...
I wish you well Tall. I pretty much gave up on going to powell in late May early June. I take latter in the year and take my chances with the weather. I like being down there in late Sept but thats hard with kids and school.

If my kids were not all into fall sports, we would be there for sure in September.
I couldn't agree more....We just got back from 5 days on the Delta. It should have been 90 F and beautiful this time of year. Instead we got rain (lots of rain), 25 mph winds, and barely made it past 65 F. I definitely didn't pack warm enough clothing. But as always we still found some glass. And of course now that were back it looks like its going to be beautiful, 70 sunny, and no wind. What the hell is going on this spring.
It has been in the 50's and 60's in Cali also. Our lake is normally in the mid to high 80's by now the water is still in the very low 60's. The wind is constant, and the rain just keeps on coming in waves. We need the water and moisture. We can actually see green mountain ranges. And to be able to see the mountains is huge little lone have them green. Keep on coming I don't want it to stop.
Also they finally over ruled the Sacramento environmentalist law suit over a little itty bitty fish so So Cal will get water again this summer and the central valley so 75% of the country's fruit will go back into production. We may see a reduction in fruits and vegetables over the next couple of years as long as the appeals court does not mess it up again.
