We bought a '08 22ve a few months ago, it came with a bimini top for the E tower but I havent used it yet. I was looking at it today and I cant figure out what some of the zippers is used for. There's two of them and they are located along the very back edge of the top. See red arrow in photo.

I think that might be to attach an extended bimini. It would give you an extra 12-18 inches of shade. They may have made all of them with the zipper, even if the original owner did not buy the extended bimini option. Or you might have another pole and piece of sunbrella that attaches.Be excellent to one another. -
